This Is probably the last post on the Boogie Challenge Blog. This was a temporary thing i tried out and now i have to move on to my next challenge which is : try and take over the world.
i really enjoyed the times we had (yep, it was an amazing two weeks, hi hi) and i want to thank everyone that actually gave a shit and encouraged me to do my thing.
I really think “The Boogie Challenge” had and still has the potential to be THE NEXT BIG THING and i urge boogie lovers all around the world to peruse the challenge of finding the “Ultimate Boogie”.

I spotted this “I’m Weird” Dance at a very sleazy, very (how surprising) weird, roof party. This party was so lame (a cat in a bag) and full of weirdos who kept telling me they wanted to “connect” with me. The only thing i wanted to connect my self to, at that time, was an electric chair, but luckily enough i brought my camera with me and was able to capture some of these horrifying and yet hilarious moments.
Sometimes you can tell a person is weird, just by talking or even looking at him (i mean, guys, look what this person is wearing!?!? suspenders?!?! in an X shape?!?!) but you can only know for sure when a person start’s dancing. People who are trained use dance as a “weirdos detector” – an easy tool for spotting weirdos.
Since i started this blog I’ve been taking my camera everywhere and it really pays off! i was at a friend’s birthday party the other day and it was a blast. everyone was so drunk and so the timing was perfect for me to start filming…
The boogie in this video post in non other than the glorious Y.M.C.A Boogie. This boogie tradition, started by “the village people”, has been going on for years and years now and for some reason i found dozens of videos on YouTube of people imitating this boogie, making an ass of them selfs (hi hi).
Thats why i decided to dedicate a whole new page just for those ridiculous Y.M.C.A boogies. Check them out now.
So, i went clubbing the other night (at one of Tel Aviv’s most crowded dance bars) and decided to take my camera with me just in case i come across with some funky boogie. And You Wont Believe what treasures i found…
One of the coolest boogies i found was a “shake you’r booty” boogie which is a tradition of dance that started a long time ago in Africa when the women of the tribe had to break open the coconuts they found with their big booties in order to survive.
This boogie is very common today mainly because it demands very little physical strains or energy and allows you to rest and save up you’r energy to the next boogie. also, women use this dance to attract men’s attention and signal them : “i’m single and looking”.
You can’t talk about boogies without mentioning this one! You too probably know this dance, taken from Will Smith’s “Men in Black” music video:
I always had a worm place in my heart for this dance and i actually think it still kicks ass today. even today, you could put your sunglasses on in the middle of the club, do the “man in black” moves and still get to be the cool sleek dude who made everyone in the club smile the other night.
but there’s a catch. you can probably make this groove look good only to the sound of the actual “men in black” song, and making the same moves to the sound of - well any other music, will just make you look pathetic.
My sexy friend Iris and Myself tried to give it a go and boogied the only way we could : in black (well, not really cause iris forgot i asked her to wear black and she came with a gray sexy dress- that bitch).
i guess we did a good job since this is our first and only take. what do you think?
Well this is truly an artifact that needs to be displayed on big screens in museums, so that people all around the world would be able to:
a. Truly understand the term: “Evolution of dance”.
b. Get a really good laugh, because people lets be honest, this is hilarious!
Don’t get me wrong, i really love the fact that these people are putting their heart out on the dance floor, but what The hell were they thinking? i mean, did you get a look at the guy dancing like a vibrant vibrator? is he serious or what? I call this dance :“The Vibrator Dance“and girls, i urge you to try this at home.
